Epic Imperial Gaurd rebased
So my re basing is now complete. I've re based the Tyranids, Ultra Marines and now the Imperial Guard. I painted these a long time ago so the paint jobs are rather "average", but that's ok as I currently have some Cadian forces awaiting paint and I intend to do a much more detailed level of painting on them. Anyway the Armageddon steel legion consist of about 5000 points worth of formations. The IG are an easier army to play as you get large formations with lots of firepower so its just a matter of focusing fire and rolling average dice. The only issue I've come up against playing them is that because the formations are so large, you only get a few activations per army allowing the enemy to always get around your flank somehow because :- They move, you move, they move you move, they move, they move, they move.....so on and so on.
They entire army. No Titans yet, as they are going to be the last thing I paint because I'm going to create a Titan Legion army.
A Mechanized company, 7 Chimeras, 12 stands of guard and a C.O
Another angle.
The Lemun Russ company. A powerful formation that always gets the full attention of the enemy. I've found this formation does not last past turn 2.
The Regiment commander. 7 more chimeras and 12 more guards men. A large formation able to take a bit of fire, but normally always gets several blast markers on turn 1. As a guard player, once you start getting blast markers your formations abilities start degrading fast.
A side shot of the force, with some blaneblades at the front. Great models, and super powerful, but because many games are 2000 pts, its hard to take any.
